About Me
My Start
I grew up with an artist mother and photographer father. She encouraged and taught us to draw and paint. He not only allowed me to pick up his expensive manual cameras, but taught me how to use them from a young age.
We'd go walking through forests, museums, and elsewhere. He explained how to look in all directions, not just forward. I'd take photos and he'd teach me how to improve them without making me feel small.
As the years progressed, I'd always send him my newest photographs and he'd share his thoughts, opinions, and how to improve them, if at all. Switching from a manual to digital camera was definitely a learning curve, but I've embraced it!
Today, my parents are not with us, but they live on within me and my kids, who are also learning the skill of capturing memories, feelings, and art.
